FERC approves UGI's purchase of 44-MW gas plant in Pennsylvania

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission signed off on UGI Corp.'s acquisition of the 44-MW AE Hunlock 4 gas-fired plant in Pennsylvania from LS Power Group.

Under the transaction, UGI Development Co. will acquire 100% ownership stake in Hunlock Energy LLC from LS Power affiliate Aspen Generating LLC. Hunlock Energy owns the simple-cycle power facility in Luzerne County, Pa.

UGI Development is a subsidiary of UGI Energy Services, which in turn is owned by UGI Corp. (FERC docket EC18-94)
