Trading activity falls at large online brokers in July

Trading activity dropped in July at four of the largest online brokers.

Daily average revenue trades, or DARTs, at TD Ameritrade Holding Corp. slipped to 770,000 in July from 816,000 in June. DARTs at Interactive Brokers Group, Inc. fell to 748,000 from 799,000.

Meanwhile, total client assets grew across the board at online brokerages.
