Banks’ Response to Rising Rates & Liquidity Concerns

Moody's assigns long-term issuer ratings to Slovenská sporiteľňa

Moody's on Dec. 17 assigned Slovenská sporiteľňa a.s. long-term local- and foreign-currency issuer ratings of A2, with a stable outlook.

The rating agency also affirmed the bank's long- and short-term local- and foreign-currency bank deposit ratings at A2/Prime-1, with a stable outlook on the long-term rating.

The ratings actions reflect the lender's stand-alone baseline credit assessment of "baa2" and adjusted baseline credit assessment "baa1," as well as the agency's view of moderate support from the Slovakian government for the bank in case of need and high support from its Austria-based parent Erste Group Bank AG, among others.
