Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Q4 profit climbs 15.7% YOY

PT Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk said its fourth-quarter normalized net income amounted to 43.56 rupiah per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 48.95 rupiah per share.

EPS increased 15.7% year over year from 37.64 rupiah.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 508.02 billion rupiah, an increase of 15.7% from 438.98 billion rupiah in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin climbed to 7.5% from 6.1% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue grew 5.6% on an annual basis to 7.645 trillion rupiah from 7.239 trillion rupiah, and total operating expenses increased year over year to 6.860 trillion rupiah from 6.650 trillion rupiah.

Reported net income rose year over year to 556.67 billion rupiah, or 47.73 rupiah per share, from 544.20 billion rupiah, or 46.67 rupiah per share.

For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled 221.54 rupiah per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus normalized EPS estimate of 268.43 rupiah.

EPS rose 16.2% from 190.71 rupiah in the prior year.

Normalized net income was 2.584 trillion rupiah, a gain of 16.2% from 2.224 trillion rupiah in the prior year.

Full-year total revenue grew 5.7% from the prior-year period to 31.741 trillion rupiah from 30.022 trillion rupiah, and total operating expenses increased on an annual basis to 27.777 trillion rupiah from 26.867 trillion rupiah.

The company said reported net income grew 13.5% on an annual basis to 3.001 trillion rupiah, or 257.31 rupiah per share, in the full year, from 2.645 trillion rupiah, or 226.79 rupiah per share.

As of March 28, US$1 was equivalent to 13,330 rupiah.
