Dateline acquiring historical Raymond, Carter gold mines in Colorado

Dateline Resources Ltd. said March 13 that it is acquiring the historical Raymond and Carter gold mines near its Gold Links gold-silver property in Colorado.

The mines cover about 1,300 acres of freehold land, and will boost the company's freehold landholding to 2,000 acres. It also owns about 600 acres of leasehold land in Colorado.

The company will pay US$2 million in cash for the assets, with the settlement expected to occur in about 90 days. It paid a refundable 10% deposit and has a 30-day period to withdraw from the transaction.

Dateline plans to conduct a JORC-compliant exploration program over the area to identify more high-grade zones, while a program to digitize old maps and workings is underway.
