Lowe's expands partnership with Sherwin-Williams

U.S. home improvement retailer Lowe's Cos. Inc. said Feb. 28 that it expanded a sales partnership with paint maker The Sherwin-Williams Co.

Under the new terms, Lowe's will exclusively sell Sherwin-Williams' Minwax, Cabot, Thompson's Water Seal, Purdy and Krylon brands at its stores. Sherwin-Williams will become an exclusive supplier of interior and exterior paint brands, including Valspar and HGTV home, to Lowe's outlets across the U.S.

The partnership dates back to 1971 between Lowe's and Valspar Corp., which Sherwin-Williams bought in June 2017.

Lowe's also said it will start a new paint desk experience at its stores this quarter to enable better product display and improved customer experience.
