BBVA Compass Bancshares Inc. named Heather Sanchez city president for Ontario, Calif.

Sanchez joined BBVA Compass in 2014 as a relationship manager.


Carter Bank & Trust promoted its director of internal audit, Christy Meier, to senior vice president.

Prior to this promotion, Meier was vice president at the Martinsville, Va.-based bank.


James Sartori retired from the boards of Peabody, Mass.-based Meridian Bancorp Inc. and subsidiary East Boston Savings Bank, effective Dec. 31, 2018.

This is in accordance with bylaw provisions requiring retirement in the calendar year in which the director reaches age 75.
