Report: Carlyle looking to sell Italian shoe company Golden Goose

Carlyle Group LP is considering a sale of Italian high-end shoe company Golden Goose SpA, Reuters reported, citing two sources close to the matter.

The private equity firm hired Bank of America Merrill Lynch to evaluate a possible sale of the business that it bought in 2017 from Ergon Capital Partners at an equity value of €400 million.

Carlyle and Bank of America Merrill Lynch declined to comment, the news outlet noted.

Separately, Carlyle named Gerrard Bushell chair of its global airport investment platform CAG Holdings and executive chair of the New Terminal One development project at John F. Kennedy International Airport. The New Terminal One team will lead the redevelopment and expansion project, which will encompass the airport's current terminal one, terminal two and former terminal three when completed.

Bushell is the former president and CEO of the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York.
