All Nippon Airways Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Sept. 30 came to ¥155.21 per share, a gain of 17.9% from ¥131.68 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥54.19 billion, an increase of 17.6% from ¥46.09 billion in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin climbed to 10.2% from 9.6% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue rose 11.0% on an annual basis to ¥533.33 billion from ¥480.57 billion, and total operating expenses grew 9.5% on an annual basis to ¥443.68 billion from ¥405.13 billion.
Reported net income increased 32.5% on an annual basis to ¥67.31 billion, or ¥192.79 per share, from ¥50.79 billion, or ¥145.13 per share.
