JLT, Hyperion Insurance settle recruitment lawsuit

Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group Ltd. and Hyperion Insurance Group Ltd. reached a confidential settlement on a lawsuit related to JLT employees who left to join Hyperion.

As part of the settlement, the relevant employees will continue to be bound by their obligations to Marsh & McLennan Cos. Inc.-owned JLT, including their notice periods and post-termination restrictive covenants.

In April 2019, Mark Wood reportedly resigned as head of international financial and professional lines at the merged Marsh-JLT Specialty to join Hyperion Insurance along with colleagues Sarah Hughes and Adam Codrington.

Additionally, Hyperion X appointed David Flandro, previously JLT Re's global head of analytics and an executive committee member, as managing director for analytics in September 2019. Hyperion X is the data and technology arm of Hyperion Insurance.
