Phoenix Tower buys small cell deployment business in US

Phoenix Tower International LLC acquired Syscom Telecom LLC, a small cell deployment business in the U.S., for an undisclosed sum.

The acquisition adds more than 80,000 marketable sites to Phoenix Tower's U.S. portfolio, according to a Dec. 28 news release. Syscom Telecom manages and markets the sites for small cell and macro cell deployments with various small cell master agreements in place with wireless operators.

Phoenix Tower International owns and manages more than 6,000 towers, 986 kilometers of fiber and other wireless infrastructure and related sites throughout the U.S.
