Amaya Leisure PLC said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, was 79 Sri Lankan cents per share, a decrease of 43.4% from 1.39 rupees per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 41.1 million rupees, a decline of 43.2% from 72.4 million rupees in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin fell to 12.6% from 23.7% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue rose 6.7% on an annual basis to 325.4 million rupees from 305.1 million rupees, and total operating expenses grew 48.3% on an annual basis to 276.0 million rupees from 186.1 million rupees.
Reported net income declined 62.6% on an annual basis to 40.0 million rupees, or 77 cents per share, from 107.2 million rupees, or 2.06 rupees per share.
As of Feb. 6, US$1 was equivalent to 132.96 Sri Lankan rupees.
