FERC clears TC Energy's sale of 575-MW plant to Salt River Project

TC Energy Corp. on May 16 received approval from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to sell the 575-MW Coolidge Generating Station to Salt River Project.

Coolidge is a natural gas-fired peaking generating facility that sells its output to Salt River Project under a power purchase agreement expiring in 2031. According to S&P Global Market Intelligence data, the power plant started operating in 2011. (FERC docket EC19-69)

TC Energy, previously known as TransCanada Corp., will not retain any ownership interests in the plant at deal closing.
