C&C Group profit misses consensus by 32.4% in fiscal H1

C&C Group plc said its normalized net income for the fiscal first half ended Aug. 31 amounted to 12 euro cents per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 17 cents per share.

EPS decreased year over year from 12 cents.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was €40.3 million, a decrease from €41.3 million in the prior-year period.

Total revenue climbed 9.3% on an annual basis to €368.1 million from €336.7 million, and total operating expenses climbed 12.5% year over year to €298.9 million from €265.6 million.

Reported net income grew 23.4% on an annual basis to €51.8 million, or 15 cents per share, from €42.0 million, or 12 cents per share.
