BHS Tabletop H2 profit climbs YOY

BHS Tabletop AG said its normalized net income for the second half was 47 euro cents per share, compared with 48 cents per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was €1.7 million, an increase from €1.6 million in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose 12.1% year over year to €59.9 million from €53.4 million, and total operating expenses increased 12.6% on an annual basis to €57.0 million from €50.6 million.

Reported net income came to a loss of €820,000, or a loss of 24 cents per share, compared to income of €3.0 million, or 89 cents per share, in the prior-year period.

For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled 76 cents per share, a gain of 65.2% from 46 cents per share in the prior year.

Normalized net income was €2.7 million, an increase of 68.4% from €1.6 million in the prior year.

Full-year total revenue rose 14.6% year over year to €115.5 million from €100.7 million, and total operating expenses increased 13.7% year over year to €110.4 million from €97.2 million.

The company said reported net income decreased 84.1% year over year to €487,000, or 14 cents per share, in the full year, from €3.1 million, or 90 cents per share.
