Liberty Living wraps up £460M portfolio deal with Blackstone

Liberty Living closed a deal with Blackstone Group LP worth £460 million to buy 13 student accommodation properties in the U.K., Germany and Spain, City A.M. reported.

The company said when the deal was announced in December 2016 that the portfolio comprises 13 residential assets with 6,484 beds across 12 cities, including a potential development site in London.

According to the April 3 report, the transaction boosts the company's portfolio to about 25,000 beds, making it the second biggest player in the student housing sector, next to Unite Group Plc.
