Report: GIC, Charter Hall to acquire Sydney office building for A$420M

Singapore sovereign wealth fund GIC Pte. Ltd. and Charter Hall Group have partnered to jointly purchase an office building in Sydney's Parramatta suburb from Brookfield Properties for about A$420 million, IPE Real Assets reported Sept. 26, citing sources familiar with the deal.

The transaction for the 15-story Jessie Street Centre is subject to approval from Australia's Foreign Investment Review Board, the sources said.

Brookfield offered the building for sale in April after refurbishing it. The tenants in the property include government departments and legal companies, the publication reported.
