The Walt Disney Co. moved the European launch of its streaming service Disney+ forward a week to March 24.
The new launch date applies to the U.K., Ireland, France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy and Spain. Disney+ will be rolled out next in Belgium, Portugal and the Nordic countries by the summer.
A Disney+ subscription will cost £5.99 per month or £59.99 per year in Britain. In other western Europe markets, it will cost €6.99 monthly or €69.99 yearly.
Disney+ is live in the U.S., Canada, the Netherlands, Australia and New Zealand. The streaming platform is accessible on various mobile and connected TV devices, including gaming consoles, streaming players and smart TV units.
