American Pacific Borates to double Fort Cady's sulfate of potash output

American Pacific Borates Ltd. intends to double production of sulfate of potash at its Fort Cady mine in California to 217,724 tonnes per annum, from 108,861 tonnes per annum from the project's definitive feasibility study.

The company added that it is targeting higher EBITDA from Fort Cady's first full year of production of US$400 million, from the previous target of US$345.4 million.

The decision to double sulfate of potash production at Fort Cady is because of the continued strength of the market, and strong fertilizer market fundamentals that are expected to lead to long-term demand growth.
