Charlotte, NC, retail assets change hands for $69M

An Ascentris LLC affiliate, through a joint venture, acquired about 166,000 square feet of retail space in two separate deals totaling $68.5 million, the Charlotte Business Journal reported, citing Mecklenburg County real estate records.

The joint venture with Childress Klein Properties Inc. acquired the Waverly Shopping Center in south Charlotte, N.C. The 90-acre property at the intersection of Providence and Ardrey Kell roads is 94% leased, and includes two office buildings, two medical office buildings, apartments and a 141-room Hilton Garden Inn.
