Bancóldex, subsidiaries to operate under new structure

Banco de Comercio Exterior de Colombia SA – BANCÓLDEX on Jan. 21, 2018, will begin operating under Grupo Bancóldex, a new structure in which the company and its subsidiaries will act as a single economic group, La República reported.

Included in the integration are Fiduciaria Colombiana de Comercio Exterior SA FIDUCOLDEX, Leasing Bancoldex and Segurexpo de Colombia SA, Bancóldex CEO Mario Suárez Melo told the publication.

With the integration, the group aims to provide, through a single channel, better customer assistance on services including credit, the possibility of fiduciary intervention, leasing for the acquisition of equipment and insurance for exports.

The new group also looks to raise disbursements worth 4.7 trillion Colombian pesos by 2018, up by almost 35% from the 3.5 trillion pesos made in 2017.

Bancóldex expects to end the year with profits worth 83.12 billion pesos, Suárez Melo reportedly said.

As of Dec. 21, US$1 was equivalent to 2,961.70 Colombian pesos.
