Brick Brewing fiscal Q2 profit climbs 63.9% YOY

Brick Brewing Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended July 26 was 2 Canadian cents per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 2 cents per share.

EPS increased 95.2% year over year from 1 cents.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was C$623,600, a gain of 63.9% from C$380,410 in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 4.5% from 3.7% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue climbed 6.0% on an annual basis to C$11.0 million from C$10.4 million, and total operating expenses increased on an annual basis to C$9.9 million from C$9.6 million.

Reported net income increased 67.9% year over year to C$579,810, or 2 cents per share, from C$345,330, or 1 cents per share.
