Anritsu fiscal Q3 profit falls YOY

Anritsu Corp. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2015, amounted to ¥8.62 per share, a decline of 35.3% from ¥13.33 per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥1.18 billion, a decline of 36.7% from ¥1.87 billion in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin declined to 5.1% from 7.8% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue decreased on an annual basis to ¥23.18 billion from ¥23.84 billion, and total operating expenses came to ¥21.24 billion, compared with ¥21.18 billion in the year-earlier period.

Reported net income declined 25.1% year over year to ¥1.55 billion, or ¥11.32 per share, from ¥2.07 billion, or ¥14.79 per share.

As of Feb. 12, US$1 was equivalent to ¥112.83.
