Pee Cee Cosma Sope Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Sept. 30 amounted to 1.20 Indian rupees per share, a decline of 37.3% from 1.91 rupees per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 3.2 million rupees, a decline of 37.7% from 5.2 million rupees in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin declined to 1.6% from 2.8% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue grew 7.5% on an annual basis to 201.8 million rupees from 187.7 million rupees, and total operating expenses increased 9.0% on an annual basis to 194.9 million rupees from 178.8 million rupees.
Reported net income fell 29.1% on an annual basis to 4.0 million rupees, or 1.50 rupees per share, from 5.7 million rupees, or 2.10 rupees per share.
As of Nov. 21, US$1 was equivalent to 61.66 Indian rupees.
