Dollar General unveils new parental leave policy

U.S. discount retailer Dollar General Corp. on March 8 announced a new policy that will offer, effective April 1, its full- and part-time employees two weeks of paid time off as parental leave and eight weeks' leave to expectant mothers.

The company will also provide up to $4,000 in the form of adoption assistance to employees. Eligible employees, meeting certain requirements, will be covered under the policy.
