Mike Tracy is stepping down as CEO of coal producer Drummond Co. Inc. on Oct. 31.
Tracy has been with the company for 40 years and became chief executive in July 2016. After his retirement, Tracy will continue serving the boards of Drummond and Drummond International LLC.
For a period of time, he will also serve as a part-time consultant to facilitate a smooth transition. Drummond named Richard Mullen as Tracy's successor, effective Nov. 1.
Mullen is the company's president and COO.
In addition to these changes, Drummond also announced the appointment of Ron Damron as president of mining. Damron most recently served as COO of Drummond International, managing all operations in Colombia.
