Rémy Cointreau fiscal H1 profit falls 21.1% YOY

Rémy Cointreau SA said its normalized net income for the fiscal first half ended Sept. 30 was €1.14 per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of €1.08 per share.

EPS declined 19.0% year over year from €1.40.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was €54.9 million, a decline of 21.1% from €69.6 million in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue declined 15.4% on an annual basis to €471.8 million from €558.0 million, and total operating expenses decreased 13.2% on an annual basis to €369.0 million from €424.9 million.

Reported net income declined 9.5% from the prior-year period to €62.9 million, or €1.30 per share, from €69.5 million, or €1.40 per share.
