Tata Motors recalls diesel model over emissions concerns

India's Tata Motors Ltd. has initiated a voluntary recall of its Tata Tigor 1.05RTQ BSIV (MT) diesel model due to potential emissions issues, the company said in a Sept. 4 release.

The recalled vehicles were manufactured between March 6, 2017, and Dec. 1, 2017.

The company's dealer representatives will contact owners of vehicles with chassis numbers between MAT629401GKP52721 and MAT629401HKN89616, the release said.

Tata Motors also requested that owners take their vehicles to the nearest dealership for repair.
