Goldman Sachs hires former analyst as managing director for high-yield trade

Goldman Sachs Group Inc. tapped senior credit trader Drew Goldman from hedge fund Anchorage Capital Group LLC as managing director in its high-yield trading group, Business Insider reported, citing sources.

Goldman started as an analyst at Goldman Sachs in 2004 before joining Morgan Stanley in 2006 and then Anchorage Capital in 2016.

The news outlet noted that the appointment is unusual, as Goldman Sachs typically does not hire externally for senior appointments.
