China Minsheng Banking Corp. Ltd. raised US$1 billion through an issuance of notes in two tranches.
The issue comprised US$600 million of floating-rate notes due 2023, and US$400 million of fixed-rate notes bearing a coupon of 3.50% due 2021, the bank said in a March 9 release. The notes were issued by the bank's Hong Kong branch under a US$5 billion medium-term note program.
China Minsheng Banking's Hong Kong branch, Barclays, Bank of China, Bank of Communications, China CITIC Bank International and Shanghai Pudong Development Bank's Hong Kong branch acted jointly as global coordinators, book runners and lead managers of the issuance.
Other institutions that also served jointly as book runners and lead managers comprise ABC International, AMTD, CCB International, China Everbright Bank's Hong Kong branch, China International Capital, Chiyu Banking, CMBC Capital, Guotai Junan International, Haitong International, ICBC, Industrial Bank's Hong Kong branch, Natixis, Orient Securities (Hong Kong), Wing Lung Bank and Zhongtai International.
