Kansas City, Mo.-based Commerce Bank names chairman/CEO

Kansas City, Mo.-based Commerce Bancshares Inc. named Kevin Barth chairman and CEO of its unit Commerce Bank.

Barth will remain as executive vice president of the company's commercial line of business.

Commerce Bank also promoted Rob Bratcher to president. He will lead the commercial banking division in Kansas City as well as continue to head the bank's healthcare specialty group.

Nick Warren will serve as president of Commerce Bank's regional banking and head the business development efforts for the bank's Western region. Warren will continue to manage agribusiness and food processing banking efforts for the commercial line of business.

Tom Harmon has been named St. Louis president for Commerce Bank. He will continue to lead the commercial division in that market.

All appointments are effective Aug. 1.

Meanwhile, Vice Chairman Jonathan Kemper is set to retire July 31. Kemper will continue to stay on the Commerce Bancshares board and Commerce Bank advisory board.
