Fox Corp. to join S&P 500 index

Fox Corp. will join the S&P 500 index before the opening of trading on March 19.

Fox will replace 21st Century Fox Inc., which will be removed from the S&P 500 and S&P 100 indexes before trading opens on March 20, according to a March 14 news release.

S&P 500 and S&P 100 constituent Walt Disney Co. is buying 21st Century Fox one day after Fox Corp. will be spun off to shareholders. Also effective March 19, Fox Corp. will change its class A common stock ticker to FOXA from FOXAV and its class B common stock ticker to FOX from FOXBV.

Further, Adobe Systems Inc. will replace 21st Century Fox in the S&P 100 effective prior to the open of trading on March 20.
