G-III Apparel Group said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended Jan. 31 was 47 cents per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 42 cents per share.
EPS rose 56.1% year over year from 30 cents.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was $21.5 million, a gain of 71.4% from $12.5 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin increased to 4.2% from 2.7% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue climbed 8.8% year over year to $514.3 million from $472.8 million, and total operating expenses rose 6.0% on an annual basis to $478.0 million from $450.9 million.
Reported net income grew 69.4% from the prior-year period to $22.2 million, or 48 cents per share, from $13.1 million, or 31 cents per share.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled $2.24 per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus normalized EPS estimate of $2.19.
EPS rose 20.8% from $1.85 in the prior year.
Normalized net income was $99.5 million, a gain of 28.6% from $77.4 million in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue rose 23.2% year over year to $2.12 billion from $1.72 billion, and total operating expenses rose 23.0% year over year to $1.95 billion from $1.59 billion.
The company said reported net income grew 43.0% year over year to $110.4 million, or $2.48 per share, in the full year, from $77.2 million, or $1.85 per share.
