British Telecom is considering to divest about £100 million of telecoms infrastructure assets in the Netherlands, Total Telecom reported, citing CEO Philip Jansen's statement to U.K.'s The Times.
The telecom operator is specifically eyeing to sell its cable and towers infrastructure in the Global Services business of BT's Dutch unit.
BT has plans to downsize its business in a number of countries in line with a strategy of divesting noncore assets, specifically in the company's Global Business Services segment. The move, however, does not translate to a complete withdrawal of its operations in these markets.
The news comes after BT entered into an agreement to sell its fleet management operator unit BT Fleet Solutions.
