Illinois-based First American Bank closes Continental National Bank deal

Illinois-based First American Bank has completed its acquisition of Miami-based Continental National Bank.

Guillermo Diaz-Rousselot, Continental National Bank's former president, will become Miami market president for First American Bank.

As of June 30, First American Bank had $4.29 billion in assets, while Continental National Bank had assets of $476.2 million, according to S&P Global Market Intelligence data.
