Macquarie Infrastructure acquires, deactivates NJ cogeneration facility

A Macquarie Infrastructure Corp. subsidiary closed the acquisition of a combined-cycle cogeneration plant in Bayonne, N.J. from Talen Energy Corp. on June 1, according to a June 8 filing with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.

As previously reported, the 163-MW Bayonne Cogeneration facility will be deactivated at or prior to the closing of the transaction. FERC approved the transaction on May 25. (FERC docket EC18-80)

Talen Energy is a subsidiary of Riverstone Holdings LLC.
