S & J International Enterprises Q2 profit climbs 30.1% YOY

S & J International Enterprises PCL said its second-quarter normalized net income was 30 satang per share, a gain of 30.1% from 23 satang per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 45.4 million baht, a gain of 30.1% from 34.9 million baht in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 3.8% from 3.1% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue grew 6.2% year over year to 1.19 billion baht from 1.12 billion baht, and total operating expenses increased on an annual basis to 1.19 billion baht from 1.14 billion baht.

Reported net income rose 38.2% from the prior-year period to 57.5 million baht, or 38 satang per share, from 41.6 million baht, or 28 satang per share.

As of Aug. 15, US$1 was equivalent to 34.58 baht.
