USANA Health Sciences Inc. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Oct. 3 came to 90 cents per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 88 cents per share.
EPS rose 32.1% year over year from 68 cents.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was $24.0 million, a gain of 32.6% from $18.1 million in the third quarter ended Sept. 27, 2014.
The normalized profit margin climbed to 10.3% from 9.4% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue climbed 21.5% year over year to $233.3 million from $191.9 million, and total operating expenses grew 20.1% on an annual basis to $195.3 million from $162.7 million.
Reported net income rose 31.1% on an annual basis to $25.6 million, or 96 cents per share, from $19.5 million, or 74 cents per share.
