Advocacy groups sue Hulu

Advocacy groups filed a lawsuit against Hulu LLC for not offering an audio service for blind customers, The Associated Press reported Nov. 21.

In a federal suit filed in Boston, the plaintiffs accused Hulu of failing to offer such services despite repeated requests from advocates and blind customers.

Disability Rights Advocates filed the suit on behalf of the American Council of the Blind, Bay State Council of the Blind and a blind Massachusetts couple.

Hulu's content owners include Comcast Corp.'s NBCUniversal Media LLC, Walt Disney Co., 21st Century Fox Inc. and Time Warner Inc.
