Theresa May took over as prime minister of the U.K. on July 13 andappointed a number of new ministers, including Philip Hammond chancellor of theexchequer.
Hammond, who served as foreign secretary under former U.K. Prime MinisterDavid Cameron, replaces George Osborne.
Former London mayor and leading Leave campaigner was named secretary ofstate for foreign and commonwealth affairs.
Another Brexit campaigner, David Davis, was installed in thenew cabinet role of secretary of state for exiting the EU. A prominenteurosceptic, Davis has previously served as Conservative party chairman andshadow deputy prime minister, and was shadow home secretary between 2003 and2008, BBC News reported July 13.
