Ad-supported streaming service Tubi to launch in Australia

Tubi Inc. is set to launch its ad-supported video-on-demand service in Australia.

Beginning Sept. 1, Tubi will offer nearly 7,000 free movies and TV series to customers in Australia, with additional titles to be made available over the next six months.

Viewers in Australia will be able to access Tubi via Telstra Corp. Ltd.'s Telstra TV, Tubi.TV or nearly any internet-connected screens such as Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd.'s Samsung TV, Apple Inc.'s Apple TV, Amazon.com Inc.'s Fire TV and Google LLC's Chromecast, as well as on iOS and Android devices. The service will also be available via game consoles, including PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
