AEP, NextEra commission 120-MW wind project in Indiana

NextEra Energy Resources LLC and American Electric Power Co. Inc. have commissioned the 120-MW Bluff Point wind farm in Jay and Randolph counties, Ind., according to a Dec. 7 news release.

Representing a $200 million investment in Indiana, the project supplies power to AEP subsidiary Appalachian Power Co. under a 20-year power contract. Affiliates of the NextEra Energy Inc. subsidiary built and will own and operate the facility.

"This is our company's first project in Indiana and we look forward to making more investments here," said John DiDonato, vice president of renewable development and origination for NextEra Energy Resources.
