U.S. hotels posted positive performance for the week ended Nov. 18, according to STR data.
Year over year, revenue per available room increased 2.6% to $82.42; average daily rate rose 1.9% to end the week at $124.65; and occupancy rose 0.8%, to 66.1%.
Houston recorded the largest RevPAR uptick of the top 25 U.S. markets at 40.9% to $94.60 and saw the largest increase in ADR, increasing 11.0% to $117.82. The market also posted the largest uptick in occupancy, with the metric rising 27.0% to 80.3%.
Boston saw RevPAR decrease 9.0% to $155.54, the largest decrease, and recorded the biggest ADR decline, dropping 5.8% to $196.78.
On the occupancy front, Los Angeles/Long Beach, Calif., reported the sharpest decline, dropping 6.1% to 77.9%.
