Target to launch same-day delivery service in 12 Southwest cities

Minnesota-based retail giant Target Corp. on Feb. 8 said the company is expanding same-day delivery service through internet-based grocery delivery service Shipt to 12 cities in the Southwest, beginning Feb. 15.

The expansion covers the Phoenix metropolitan area in Arizona; Oklahoma City and Tulsa in Oklahoma; and Austin, College Station, Corpus Christi, the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, Greater Houston, Killeen, Temple and Greater San Antonio in Texas.

Target announced the acquisition of Shipt in December 2017. The company began offering Shipt in Alabama and Florida in January and expanded the service to five states on Feb. 8.
