Lodi, Calif.-based Farmers & Merchants seeks to buy 39.45% of Bank of Rio Vista

In California, Lodi-based Farmers & Merchants Bancorp is looking to acquire 39.45% of the outstanding voting shares of Rio Vista-based Bank of Rio Vista, according to a notice posted in the Federal Register.

SNL data shows that as of March 31, Farmers & Merchants had $2.95 billion in assets, while Bank of Rio Vista had assets of $218.6 million.
