BAE Systems secures $2.68B contract from US Defense Department

The U.S. Department of Defense awarded a $2.68 billion contract to BAE Systems Information and Electronic Systems Integration Inc. for the procurement of Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System.

The contract will enable the upgrade of the existing 2.75-inch rocket system to a semi-active laser guided precision weapon to support the U.S. military, as well as foreign military sales to the governments of Iraq, Lebanon, Netherlands, Jordan, Afghanistan, the U.K., Tunisia, the Philippines and Australia.

Work is expected to be completed in December 2025.
