Davenport estimates maiden resource at Johnnies Reward gold deposit

Davenport Resources Ltd. estimated a maiden inferred mineral resource at the Johnnies Reward deposit, part of the Southern Cross Bore gold project in Australia's Northern Territory.

The estimate totals 2.2 million tonnes at 1.4 g/t of gold equivalent for 101,000 contained gold equivalent ounces, according to a March 28 release.

The resource includes 52,000 ounces gold at 0.7 g/t of gold and 9,000 tonnes of copper at 0.4% copper.

Executive Director Chris Bain said the inferred resource is open downdip and along strike and "there is scope to significantly extend this maiden resource."

The group said its focus remains developing advancing potash assets in Germany's South Harz basin. In November 2017, Davenport posted a historical resource estimate of 355.7 million tonnes grading 16.1% potassium oxide in sylvinite at the Ebeleben mining license and a resource of 234 million tonnes of 14.4% potassium oxide for the southern part of the Muhlhausen-Nohra license, both part of the company's South Harz potash property in Germany.
