Yamae Hisano Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31 amounted to ¥16.91 per share, a decline of 11.7% from ¥19.16 per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥341.3 million, a decline of 11.7% from ¥386.6 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin dropped to 0.4% from 0.5% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue declined on an annual basis to ¥81.74 billion from ¥83.45 billion, and total operating expenses fell on an annual basis to ¥81.24 billion from ¥82.95 billion.
Reported net income totaled ¥375.0 million, or ¥18.58 per share, compared to a loss of ¥51.0 million, or a loss of ¥2.53 per share, in the prior-year period.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled ¥92.43 per share, a gain of 5.4% from ¥87.68 per share in the prior year.
Normalized net income was ¥1.87 billion, an increase of 5.4% from ¥1.77 billion in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue amounted to ¥349.07 billion, compared with ¥345.93 billion in the prior year, and total operating expenses totaled ¥346.36 billion, compared with ¥343.37 billion in the year-earlier period.
The company said reported net income increased year over year to ¥2.64 billion, or ¥130.80 per share, in the full year, from ¥1.04 billion, or ¥51.77 per share.
