Maybank redeems 750M ringgit of subordinated notes

Malayan Banking Bhd. redeemed 750 million ringgit of subordinated notes it issued in 2011.

The notes were redeemed Dec. 28, according to a same-day statement. The notes were issued Dec. 28, 2011, under a 3 billion-ringgit note program.

As of Dec. 28, US$1 was equivalent to 4.48 Malaysian ringgit.
