Chinese regulator probing Guosen Securities over role as adviser

China's securities regulator is investigating Guosen Securities Co. Ltd. over alleged rule violations relating to its sponsorship and financial advisory businesses.

The company acted as an independent financial adviser between 2013 and 2014 to a listed company that had conducted asset sales, share issuance and related-party transactions, according to a Jan. 31 filing.

Guosen Securities said it is cooperating with the China Securities Regulatory Commission and that it is operating normally.
